Data erasure in network environment

The License Server software is developed by Ibas and based on our experience from high volume cases. All of our pilot customers in Europe have installed License Server to increase their overall efficiency and simplify their logistics.

The report from the erased hard drive is automatically generated and stored on the server after the erasure and this simplifies the routines and "Audit Trail" for each erasure. The amount of erasures is controlled from the License Server and refill of erasure licenses is done through email. The erasure process starts by using a bootable diskette to boot the workstation. The license server is highly flexible and can be used to erase PCs with both Ethernet and serial port solution.

The Ethernet solution offers certain advantages such as the possibility to integrate erasure and installation of Operating System, and other software components, into one single process. If only erasing is required the serial port will be the most effective solution.

The quantity of computers to be erased at the same time is limited only by physical space because the erasure process generates minimal traffic on the network.
